There will be a delay in the processing of the Home seeker’s applications therefore we appreciate your patience at this time. In order for us to provide the best possible service we ask that you only contact us by telephone if your query is essential and urgent at this time, as our telephony service is currently experiencing a high number of calls.
Getting your documents to us
You will not be able to bring your documents into Southend Council until further notice and we cannot receive them by post however we can receive documents by email. Please send your supporting documents via email stating your name, address and Homeseekers reference number to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are unable to email your documentation, please note your application will not be closed, we will automatically extend your deadline until advice from the government states social distancing and social isolation has been lifted.
Please be aware, Southend Borough Council and South Essex Homes have temporarily suspended advertising Council properties on the ‘On the Move’ system and will not be undertaking any viewings for the time being. This is to minimise any risk to staff and customers and limit the potential spread of the Coronavirus. If you have a current bid on the system and have been shortlisted we will be in touch, but we won’t be arranging any viewings until it is safe to do so in line with guidance from Public Health England. Please be assured that this will not affect your application or position on the shortlist.
